If You Love Peanut Butter, We Will Be Instant Friends!
Welcome to my journal, I'm Carrie. This is where I will write about my life that has been taken over by that perfect, sticky food, peanut butter. I'm a follower of Jesus, a wife and mom, run a peanut butter business, love people, co-host a radio show and do a good amount of multi-tasking and trying to declutter and organize my life (an endless endeavor).
As a kid I remember one of the first recipes I ever made with peanut butter was Peanut Butter Chews. Not only are they simple to make, you probably have the ingredients in your pantry right now.
Peanut Butter Chews
Ingredients
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups cornflakes cereal
Directions
In a heavy saucepan over medium heat mix together the first three ingredients. Bring to a boil then remove from heat.
Add cereal and mix well. Shape into small balls.and place on wax paper to cool.
For a little variety, drizzle with melted chocolate chips. See how long before these peanut buttery treats disappear!
